As an organization that began as a collective, we know the importance of folks who are willing to dedicate time and energy to a cause. We could not exist without amazing people who are passionate about prison abolition, transformative justice, and gender self-determination.
Support trans leadership while uplifting folks who are directly impacted by the criminal justice system.

Name Change Mobilization.
We’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated attorneys and trained volunteers to assist transgender and gender non-conforming folks in filing petitions to change their legal names.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO:
Assist transgender and gender non-conforming folks during the filing process.
Provide follow-up support services by accompanying practitioners to their court dates.
Assist in navigating the subsequent name change process through the Department of Motor Vehicles, Social Security Office, etc.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR ATTORNIES LICENSED IN ILLINOIS TO:
Represent petitioners in fee waiver hearings.
Represent individuals under 18 in name change hearings.
